Counselling

Whether you’re looking for a path to heal from trauma, to break out of unhelpful patterns or better understand yourself we have a range of experienced, skillful and compassionate therapists to work with.

While some counselling works with narrative and understanding our unique story and focuses on making changes from a cognitive perspective (‘top down’ therapy) other approaches recognise that our story and our thinking patterns often manifest from the ‘state’ that our body is in (‘bottom up’ therapy). For example, if we have unresolved fight or flight physiology in the body, it is likely to drive anxious thoughts.

Our therapists Shanna Choudhary, Skye Regan and Ramone Bisset can tailor their approach to meet your needs; all have unique backgrounds which are reflected in their work.

To find out if they are a good fit for you, please read more below or feel free to call us on 0262950400 and one of our team will assist you to find the best path forward.

Integrative Counselling

with Shanna Choudhary

Shanna is a seasoned naturopath who has been seeing clients at Live Well in the naturopathy space for over a decade. Her curiosity and passion in exploring the intersections of biology, psychology, emotions and wellbeing, led Shanna to study counselling. Shanna attained her Graduate Diploma of Counselling at the University of Canberra (where she is currently completing her Master of Counselling), and is now offering counselling services in addition to her naturopathic practice here at Live Well..

Drawing from her naturopathic background, Shanna applies a holistic lens to her work, along with a person-centred, trauma-informed, and process-oriented approach.

Shanna’s warm and nurturing qualities complement her professional skill set, creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered on their wellbeing journeys.

Holistic Counselling

with Skye Regan

Skye’s empathetic and warm approach makes her clients feel safe, supported, and understood. She creates a space of trust and openness where clients develop and deepen self-awareness, gain insights and new perspectives to integrate into their lives. Skye notices deep healing and personal growth can occur when the right environment and therapeutic relationship are provided and nurtured.

Skye draws on her yoga and mindfulness teachings and practice when meeting with clients especially those experiencing anxiety, sleeping issues, or stress. She has found that combining effective mindfulness and breathing techniques with counselling can be hugely beneficial.
